1955: Purchase and demolition of the old horse stable.

1961: Opening of the inn Eder in 1/6/1961 with restaurant and nine rooms.

1975: Construction of 20 new rooms in the hall roof.

1993: Change of the hall for more comfort for the hotel guests.

2010: Lease of the neighbouring house and removal of the hotel on 62 rooms.

2015: Demolition and construction of the "Friedhofkramerhaus", with pool and more wellness on 4* and 74 rooms.

Family

Here still rules real and honest hospitality.

It is now over 50 years since the Schwaiger family and team have been running the Eder, although they have been well-known for their warm hospitality for even longer than this. Their friendly manner is also the reason why guests here never really feel that they are just treated as guests. At the Eder you feel really at home.

The Hotel Eder is part and parcel of village life in Maria Alm, together with all its traditions, festivals, and everything else that goes with it. At events such as Bauernherbstfest, Musikfest, concerts, Dorfabend local musical entertainment evenings, or the Advent market, our guests not only see what’s going on in the village, they really feel a part of it.
