On a vacation in summer, Maria Alm is a paradise for experiencing nature with all your senses while hiking, climbing, mountain biking and e-biking. Sheer endless possibilities are offered on the numerous tours, theme paths and trails. You can speed downhill on your mountain bike on the flow trail at Natrun or slide down into the valley in the world's first forest slide park. Unique in summer are the sporting highlights in Maria Alm. The Hochkönig Man - a breathtaking trail running event - opens the sporty summer, followed by the event "Hundstoa biag di" - the toughest mountain bike uphill race in the Pinzgau - and the adventure event "Jakobiranggeln" on the mountain "Hundsstein". At 2,117 m, the Hundstein is one of the highest grassy mountains in Europe that can be ridden on a mountain bike.
The winter kingdom of the Hochkönig region offers 120 kilometers of slopes with perfectly groomed runs, 30 km of cross-country ski trails, illuminated toboggan runs and curling rinks, as well as numerous romantic winter hiking trails. The absolute highlight of the winter is the so-called Königstour, a ski tour with 35 kilometers of slopes, six peaks and 7,500 meters of elevation gain and fantastically beautiful alpine huts with delicious specialties. The Königstour is known as one of the most beautiful ski circuits in the Alps. Maria Alm is the ideal entry point to the Königstour, just a two-minute walk from Hotel Eder.
